STAR OF SOUTH - 1853 - Bagagem, Minas Gerais -125 Ct.

 

It was found in Brazil in 1853. The untreated stone weighted 261.88 cts; once cut in Amsterdam as a brilliant its weight decreased to 128.80 carats. It was purchased by Prince Gaikwar of Barodo and the stone passed in India.

 

PRESIDENT VARGAS - 1938 - Bagagem, Minas Gerais  - 726 Ct.

 

The untreated diamond weighted 726 cts. Purchased by the collector Harry Winston of New York, it was cut in 29 piece, the larger of whom weights 48.26 cts.
